Brake Light
Hey guys,
I have a 2006 C-230
The dash light on my Mercedes keeps reading "Break Lamp Left"
and Yes, the rear left Break light is out.
Does that mean the bulb is burnt out? or could it be something else?
Also, if it is a burnt out bulb, do you know if it a simple change or does it have to go to a dealer?
Thanks for your input.

Yes, it means the bulb is burnt out (more then likely). And it is a real simple fix. Go to your local auto parts store and get the correct light bulb. Open the trunk and pull back the carpet cover over the taillight area. It's just tucked into place.
There will be a butterfly screw. Turn in and the back of the tail light with all the bulbs should pop out. Slowly pull it off (so as to not break other bulbs). Twist out the burnt out bulb, replace it and reverse everything to put it all back. Simple.
