Brake dust? and SRS
I own a 94 C280 and im getting a lot of brake dust out of my front brakes, they are turning the rims black within a week, is this normal? Thanks !
Also the SRS light stays on for a couple min, the dealership told me it was the passenger seatbelt, should i take it out and clean it? or what can i do...?

The brake dust is nomal I have to clean my wheels twice a week when the weather is good.
There is another post on this board about SRS and seatbelts, it involes more then just cleaning as I remember. Is the belt used frequesntly? I forget the exact fix but do a search on the board

Yes, you did answer SRS, my misread, but he didn't say anything about ABS? Unless I am missing somehting
did u take ur dash out to replace a bulb?. if not>
this can happen from jamed up seat belt latches, as the SRS unit checks these. maby clean them with something like a bit of crc in the plug, and blow them out with a air compressor, this could be your problem
There can also be a plug under the front seats than can come unpluged from one thing or another.
So move both your front seats right foward or backward and cheack out the cable under there and make sure everything is pluged in.
otherwise you may need new seat belt plugs or something else from the dealer
(that is what i was saying refer to in the other post, sorry for being so confusing)
