Front brake dust

Front brake dust
Hello everyone,
I'm a new member here and I recently purchased a 2000 slk230 for my son.
He is very pleased with the car with the exception of the tremendous amount of brake
dust that is generated in the front wheels, which turns them black after a day worth of
driving. Does anyone know of a solution to this problem? Brake dust shields have
been discussed but I 've been advised against it because it does not allow the brakes to
cool off. Any help will be appreciated!

RE: Front brake dust
Try the Porterfield brand of brake pads with minimum dust... pretty good stuff:

I don't have any financial interest in the sight, its just that he caters to SLK owners and their accessories...
