As i was driving last night to make a late night food run with some friends my power steering went out and the batt. light came on. There was also a bad smell accompanying these problems. Today i had some one look at it and he believes that the belt tensioner went out causing the drive belt to get stuck and snap. My plan so far is to go to my local Benz dealer and get this fixed (i bought an extended warranty which hopefully covers this problem). So i am wondering if any one knows how much this should cost and if they have had this happen to. Also i am looking for a diagram of the Belt Tensioner for my 99 C280 Sport sedan.
