THis is such a great site, I cant believe how much you all know! SO here I am picking your brains (again) :-)

My 94 c280 (mileage - 120k kms) has really rough gear changes and now doesnt change from first until 4k rpm, when it used to be 3500! And then just before stopping I get a 'shudder', if I slowly slow down before stopping the sudder doesnt happen.

I used to own a honda and when I got any gearbox problems they changed the gearbox oil and it was fixed - is it this easy on a Benz?
Any ideas? Anything would be appreciated!
