i have a 98 c200 with a 5 speed auto box,when the car is driven from cold the auto box is does not want to change gears until the rev counter reads between 3-3500 rpm,when the car is warmed up the box changes very smoothly and between 15-1800rpm...is their a way of adjusting the auto box so it changes quicker and smoother when cold or do all mercs do this?.thanks in advance

 

It is trying to warm itself up. Mine does the same thing and I thought something was wrong, but thats the way they want it.
