Hi thinking (real hard) on buying a 06 c230. I was wondering if and what is the annual service cost that I will be stuck with owning this car.

When I bought my car five years, four years of service came with the four year warranty.

I change my oil more frequently than required and perform other maintenance tasks myself such as changing the air filter and cabin filter. I will also this coming year change the coolant and flush the brake system. Modern cars because of the greater amount of electronic controls are more sensitive to change in fluid properties than the cars of yore. I do the same with my Scion xB and my wife's Mitsubishi Gallant.

The main difference is the cost of Mercedes specific parts and supplies which are more costly than the other cars.
