Here is my annual report. I have had my '06 C230 for one year.

Mileage: 5750
Trips to dealer: 1 (today) for Service "A"
No problems.
Typical mileage per gallon: 23
Service costs: $240 for Service "A"....or $20/month.....or 4 pennies per mile.

The brakes have 70% left.

So I am pretty pleased, no MBZ horror stories from me.

 

Man, that's such low mileage! I'm so depressed, I've had my car for a little over 6 months...I'm at 10,500 miles :-(
So sad.

 

Here is my little secret. My other car is a 1997 Mazda Miata with 124k or so miles on it. It is so much pure fun to drive and so reliable and so inexpensive to operate that I find I choose to drive it about 4 days out of the week.

The MBZ (which I really do like) collects dust for the most part except when I need to haul the kids around or go out with the wife.

I am not sure I could really afford to own *and* drive the Mercedes.....
