I have a C230 and at a MB dealer the cost was about 3 times more. MB charges a lot for just checking a bunch of things and the only thing that's included is an oil change and some other small stuff. Call the MB dealer and ask what's included in the sched maint and you will see it is just a bunch of beloni. Then call any mechanic and see what they will charge you for that.

Here's service A at my local MB dealer: price $250

Replace engine oil and MBZ oil filter ---------------ok 1 service I just feel too lazy to do myself

Reset flexible service system counter ------------------read manual or consult the forum and you will find out

Adjust tire pressure (including spare) ---------------------wow it includes the spare

Check and top off all fluid levels ------------------does it include the gas tank?

Check & clean air filter ----------------- OK if you don't want to get your hands dirty just go ahead and pay for this one. But please note it only says check and clean NOT replace.

Install windshield washer fluid -----------------------yeah my 5 year old can do that

Check battery condition using “Midtronics MCR” tester ----------------- refer to "Check horn, headlamp & hazard flashers, turn signals" below, if they work you battery works.

Check seat belts for damage and proper function------------- it's a Mercedes, off course they work.

Check brake pads for lining thickness front / rear --------------------there is a light in the dash for that

Check condition of brake discs front / rear ------------ the above should take care of this one

Check engine cooling system ---------------I thought that's included above in the "Check and top off all fluid levels"

Check horn, headlamp & hazard flashers, turn signals ------------------- OK, If you cannot do this one yourself you should have your DL taken away

Check interior & exterior lighting -------------- so dumb I don't know what to say

Check Headlamp cleaning system (if equipped) -------------- if you don't know what they are, you probably never used them and never will. They are useless anyway.

Check front / rear windshield washer systems ----------- press that windshield wipers' *** next to the steering wheel to test if you never used them

for $399 you can get a few more services like:

Install Fuel System Treatment
* Helps prevent combustion-chamber & intake valve deposit build-up ----------------you can buy one at an auto parts store or at the MB dealer and add it yourself
* Helps to remove gum and varnish deposits from injectors
Rotate tires (Excludes staggered wheels) ------------- I have the sport wheels, cannot rotate them, paying extra for nothing
Balance 4 Tires
*Can help maximize your fuel economy, handling, comfort
and safety
Check For Manufacturer Service Campaigns --------------oh please pure BS, you can probably find that out in this forum for free

Lubricate door hinges, latches, and locks ------------- OK, now that's worth paying the $399.95 for

Road Test Vehicle -----------------man what a deal, they charge you to drive around the block
