I need new brake disc in front. nothing fancy, but I am thinking of aftermarket. Brembo,OEM ATA or posiquiet
the first 2 are around $45 a piece the posiquiet are $89, any suggestions. I never heard of the posiquiet but Brake world says they are excellent and won't rust?

Thanks!

Dont' worry about rust. That's what rotors do. As soon as you move the car, the rust is gone. No big deal.

If you want nothing fancy, why spend twice as much as the non-fancy rotors cost?

I'd go with Brembo. I know they make some of the best high performance brake parts available. I know you aren't buying those super-megabuck racing rotors, but the ones you're looking at keep them in business, so they can't be bad.

Your correct just OEM replacements. When I had a Bimmer I had the super high performance disc, cross drilled vented etc. They stopped the car just as well as the OEM, no better no worse. Probably on the race track they would have been better, but I stopped road racing a long time ago.

Thanks again,

Allan

Didn't I see you speeding along the high street & in a school zone?

They stay cooler. When the OEM rotors fade, racing rotors are still slamming your face up against the inside of the windshield when you stand on the brake pedal. You don't have to worry about overheated rotors going to work or the grocery store, though.

If your talking about High St in Holyoke, I haven't been on that street in a long time. You don't drive a Mercedes in Holyoke and expect to have a car left. As far as school zones, perhaps I might have exceeding the liimt by 5mph no more than that.
