Default Advice on driving 99 c280 long distance

Hi.
I have a 1999 c280 with 110,000 miles. I've had it about 1.5 years, it has never given me any problems. When I get an oil change they mention minor things but nothing major.
I am planning a move from California to Texas (Approx 1500 miles). I can't afford to live in expensive L.A anymore so I am looking to move to Texas, I'm on a TIGHT budget. And would like to save money on car shipping. I do not want to sell the car because I will not get the money I hope for it to buy another good used car, and also this c280 has been very good to me. It's hard to find an affordable used car these days.
I'm wondering if it's foolish to drive an almost 10 year old car so far? I have to do this drive alone, I've done other long distance drives but usually with a newer rental car.
Has anyone driven their older mercedes state to state before with out any problems?
Thanks

I worried about driving my '88 560sl. Went toBoston &Upstate NYfrom NJ.These cars are made for long distance driving. If the car has been maintained I wouldn't sweet it.
I also own a '04 c240 wagon I drove it all over West Virgina on a camping trip.Dirt roads, dust & mud no problems. BC

I wouldnt worry about it too much. It is only 1,500 miles. When I use to havemy 1985 300SD with 160,000 miles, I drove it from Upstate NY down to South West Florida and had no trouble.

Thankyou both for taking the time to reply and your reassuring responses. I feel better knowing of others who drove their high mileage mercedes long distance too. I'm on such a tight budget, I don't really have a choice. So this helps.
I'd love to hear of others experiences too, so please add if you have one.
Thanks

Aside from something pathologically catastrophic, the issue here is maintenence, maintenence and maintenence. Be sure your fluids are full and current and that your tires are properly inflated. Make sure your hoses are firm and that the serpentine belt is in good shape. If it has been running well on the "Left Coast" where the driving conditions qualify as severe, a nice 70mph cruise for 1500 miles should be a walk in the park. Said driving is far easier on a car than the So Cal stop and go driving. Keep an eye on the temp gage for consistency.Regards,Will
