The problem I have is that it takes FOREVER for cold air to come out the vents.
My Corolla can chill in about 2 mins but the Benz makes a lot of noise & the left side is always colder than the right, even with dials set the same.

why not check the duo valve and freon?

Hey sleepwalker, I had the compressor connected directly to the fuse box today and it is working fine. Clutch and compressor are both fine, it blows cold air. So what do you think it is that is keeping it from kicking-in by itself?

i had a 2000 clk430 my air was turining on and off they wanted me to replace all the blowers and compressors spend 1800 dollars, i had my guy look at it and all it was was a switch located under the glovebox, cost like sixty bucs and it worked perfectly, check inot that.

EC is suppose to be on when AC is on or not? It works when I put it on.
i made a mistake. it should be "off". sorry. EC is to turn off the compressor.

so the compressor is not working? that "EC" led is on all the time?

i think it's still the pressure sensor or the evaporator temp sensor fault.
