99 C280 at 90k miles - your advice
My 99 C280 has reached 90k miles with very few problems other than the power windows/sunroof not functioning on occasion. Pulling the ground cable from the battery (momentarily) usually fixes this problem, but sometimes it can't be done due to where I am or weather conditions. Does anyone know of a permanent fix?
I've also noticed the handling has become a bit mushy. I bought this car at 30k miles and have pretty much only invested in new tires and brakes. I've also replaced the driver-side outside mirror, puled apart the wiper housing and lubed it when it became erratic, changed a broken headlight, and have repleced the stereo (head unit) with a Panasonic single CD and added an XM Satellite receiver. That's about it.
I'd love to keep this car for the long haul and would love some feedback as to what other mechanical steps should be taken (shocks, timing chain, etc) in the near future to keep this wonderful machine running in top shape for at least another 60-80k miles.
Thanks in advance for your feedback!

Did you check the front strut bushings?
On my car it made a huge difference in tightening up the steering.
My car is a 2005 with 109,000 miles on it and the bushings went south at about 100K.
Just a thought. The only other thing that might make it "mushy" would be the struts.
I'm assuming they aren't the problem here. But I don't know.
