Has anyone ever heard a pulley failing on a 99 C230 Komp? I have a terrible rumbling almost grinding noise coming from the main pulley area, I am not sure if it is in the Fan or other pulley or maybe turbocharger? Car is at 88,000 mi.

Any suggestion would be appreciated.

 

It is more likely the belt tensioner/idler pulley or the shock on the system. Common items.
