Has anyone heard of a fuel leak on 1998-C230 (or any other recent Mercedes)? A friend's car has "holes in the fuel line".
My father drives a 1970 (yes, 1970) 230, and I never heard him or anyone else have holes in their fuel lines.
A technician at the local MB dealer had this comment: "The car IS 8 years old..." (I don't think he knows who he's working for.) He didn't say anything about scratches or any sign if physical dammage to the lines, just that one had holes in it.
I researched the Web, and found nothing. It doesn't seem to be a very common problem.
