I'm glad this is such a vibrant community of MB enthusiasts willing to share knowledge and offer helpful advice.

My 96 C220 windshield wiper gave up the ghost recently and stopped working entirely. The motor whirrs but the wiper does not move.My foreign car specialist mechanic is pretty sure it is the pivot assembly that has gone bad - the gears inside the pivot assembly is what he thinks the exact problem.

Does anyone know where I can find:

2)A new wiper linkage (I was told that worn bushings won't go well with a working pivot assembly) - pix at http://img.eautopartscatalog.com/liv...0117661OES.JPG

the screw FROM THE MOTOR TO THE LINKAGE most likley came loose...always happens
