93 190 E Power Steering Fluid Change/TIPS
Hi all,
I recently acquired a 93 190E, my first MB, and want to make sure maintenance is kept up.
All looks well so far, but the power steering fluid appears pink/brown in the reservoir. I don't know how often it's been changed, and am wondering about doing it, or leaving it alone.
One non-MB mechanic told me recently, don't change power steering fluid if it hasn't been done regularly, as seals and more could then fail.
The vehicle has almost 110,000 miles. What do you think about this "leave it alone" philosophy? Incidentally, he said the same about trans fluid...
In any case, any tips on the PS fluid change procedure?
Thanks in advance for any feedback.
