Default 2009 C300 Service A Cheaper Alternative?

Hello,

Im sure this question has been asked before many times. So I apologize in advance if this has already been discussed.

Im due for my "Service A" service. I called the dealer to see how much this will cost and they told me approx. $250!!!!. From my understanding, it seems as though Service A is basically a oil change with a complete inspection of the car??? but, I could be wrong cuz Im clueless when it comes to cars... This is a lease car and I dont want to spend $200-$300 on every scheduled maintenance.

Is there a cheaper alternative that I can do and not void the warranty or damage the car? Like just get oil change at Jiffy Lube?.....

** 2009 C300.. 10,700 miles.. **

Thanks in Advance!

Jenn

If you can't afford a $250 service you shouldn't have bought a $30,000 luxury car!
The car was a gift from my parents... so I did not get a say... it was sort of a surprise.. Also at the time, I was working. Currently, Im not working..

I was just asking if there was a cheaper alternative to the Service A!!! If there isnt, then just say so!!!! you dont have to be so RUDE!!!

The $250 at the dealer guarantees better oil and filter, plus a checkup by experienced people. Instant oil change locations can be a crap shot at best and they will hound you for extra services.

Overpriced yes but worth it!

Watch out, some people disappointed at Penske. IMHO you should try an independent shop, but stay out from places that have Jiffy or Quick in the name. Also you should use the right oil and filter (preferably seen with your own eyes). Pay no nevermind to any nonsense you hear or read, you have the Mercedes now, take care of it.
