My 99 C280 fiber optic CD player plays Cd's emcoder with MP3 files. Also if you burn your own compliation, I use Nero and you can burn any CD-ROM, not just CD Music ROM's and they will play also. Nero is amazing. I also use a program called CD ripper to rip CD files into MP3 files, for my MP3 player and I play the MP3 player thru the car radio, via a device I picked up on line.
