also can anyone please tell me the difference between a w203 chasis and a C230?

A W203 is the chassis and C230 is a model on the W203 and W202 Chassis

 

What is the diff between the two W203 and W202 chassis?

OH. The W202 Chassis is the first generation C Class produced from 1994-2000. The W203 is the secondgeneration produced from 2001-2007

 

I can tell you how to replace the air filter without any photos. It's very easy. Pop the hood and look at the engine. To the driver's side of the engine, at the front,you will see the cover (black plastic type material) for the air filter. It has TORX HEAD screws holding it down. Remove these screws and lift up the cover and you will see it. Lift UP and OUT from the front. Notice how the "tab" on the filter fits down in the housing and holds it in place, so when you put the new one back in, it's the same way. Simple. Take the time to vacuum out the housing where the filter sits while you're in there. There may be all kinds of junk in there. Put the cover back on and don't over tighten the screws. Snug is fine.

Hi, yeah the air filter isn't that tough but one thing to be careful with is those darn black snap tabs. Mine broke off and my tech said this happens alot..be careful.
