2005 c200 cdi - whistling sound
have just returned from a 2 week holiday to find my 2005 c200 cdi (41k) making a whistling sond when accelerating. this is audable in the cabin and seems to be coming from the left hand side of the engine bay. when the windows are open the noise is quite loud. car seems to be driving ok
thought it was coming from either the turbo or transmission
anyone have any ideas

The turbo of my 200 CDI has been whistling (when accelerating) the last 110 000 km, so I do not think you will have bigger problems too soon. (OK, this is just a guess.) Frequent oil changedoes good for a turbo.
