Default 2004 C230 which air filter

Which brand of air filter should I use for a 2004 C230?

I have seen Mahle $24.95, Beck Arnely $33.67and Hengst $33.95. Dealer wants $60+ for just the filter and that is insane for a C-Class.

Now for that money I have been looking at re-usable filters such as K&N and they look to be have morevalue as oppossed to the regular paper filters.

I know people have had problems with them and I have not read through any of the threads but if you oil it properly it should work fine. I have used re-usable filters on every car I have had and never had a problem. So I am kinda leaning that way but would still like to know which paper filters are good.

Thanks

I would say the paper filters are pretty much all about the same. Pick one and shop for price.
I have the K&N. Pros and cons to them. As you know.
www.autopartswarehouse.com is where I buy my oil filters, etc. Pretty good.
I'm not connected to them in any way. I've just had good luck with them.
Hope this helps you. There's a TON of posts on air filters if you want to do a search.
