I have a 2002 C240 and am currently trying to find the position of the crankshaft postion sensor....does anyone happen to know where it is? Also does anyone know how to clear the SRS airbag warning message. I had to replace the lock (drivers door) and when the door was being repaired the airbag had to be unpluged so the SRS warning is now going off but i have no clue as to how to reset it?

 

SRS light resets are usually more complicated. I have read some places that you must have the STAR scanner to reset them. Other places have stated that a few other high-end 3rd party scanners can reset SRS codes. Apparently a basic OBD II scanner isn't going to do it.

easy fix if you have the right tools and patience , sensor was 109.00 and is located on top drivers side of the transmission bellhouse, all the air intake had to be removed and the valve cover ventalation tubes.

 

wonderful diagram. Does anyone know if there's a version of this for a 2000 C230? I'm looking for the camshaft position sensor and tried to use the one link here to no avail. But perhaps I'm blind. I can take a picture of the engine if that would help any. If there's no response to this, I'll assume that my question was off topic and needs to be in a thread of its own.

I need to find the "camshaft position sensor" on my wife's 2005 C230k sedan. I've combed the net with no luck. I frequent this website as I have Two c230k sedans and work on them regularly. Cars misfiring on all cylinders. I have checked all other causes. Replaced p2 sensors etc. Just need to know where the cam position sensor is. Please help thanks in advance
