Just got my 1st Mercedes yesterday, unfortunatly as I've learned in the last 24hours Not from an Authorized Dealer.

Anyway My wife noticed today that the Dirver's side Vanity Mirror is missing the cover, and the cover also flips the overhead Vanity light off. I checked with the dealership to see if they could order the pary and they only sell the entire visor assembly... $150.


Any Thoughts?


Also my Rear Diff is Seeping. The mechanic @ the dealership said its about a 6 hour job to replace the seal, because you have to drop the rear end, pull the pinons replace the seals, retorque, and place the rear end. Do the repair manuals cover this kind of thing?


Lastly my display says Service B 1700 miles. Is there a check list somewhere to find out what is done on service B?

I would love to take it in to get all this replaced, but @ $95 an hour labor. I think I'll do everything myself. My vehicle has no warranty and the Military Base I work @ has an Auto Bay bigger than most dealerships.
