Cool 2001 C240 Multiple error codes, won't drive
I have a '01 c240 with 115K miles. Display shows 7 error codes: battery alternator, brake assist, restraint system, light sensor, ABS system, ESP, battery undercharged. I cannot move the transmission out of park and the fan does operate, causing the car to overheat after 15 minutes of idle. If I start the car enough times, all but the battery errors clear and I can put the car into gear.

Any idea of the cause and solution?

Hello I had the same thing happen to my 2001 CL 600. did you ever figure out whats wrong with your car?

i had the same problem but the car wasnt overheating. it needed a new alternator which took less than 20min to replace.
