I have owned my c230 kompressor for a little over a month now and have done quite a bit of work to it but one thing is still kind of bugging me. I WANNA UPGRADE MY TAILIGHTS AND THE HEADLIGHTS. Will any other model mercedes tailights fit and what does a guy have to do to get projectors for a 2000 C230?!?

 

No taillight, C Class are for C Class, you can get hologen bulbs for the stop lights for the C Class, I've seen them on eBay and bought a set, trouble is they don't last very long. You could get the Euro Headlights however, there beam pattern is much better then the North American. Or Try the new Sylvania Silver Stars Headlight bulbs, they are fantastic and give a brighter light then the standard bulbs. To get projector beams you got to get a lot of money. Try www.performanceproducts.com, they have projectors for most Benz models. I drove a car with projector beams and wasn't especially thrilled by the lighting at night, I thought the Silver Star's did just as good a job. One thing, get your headlamps aligned to the highest and broadest legal pattern. I had a garage go to the legal limit and what a difference that also makes.

 

I've got the HID upgrade already and talk about a difference, I mainly want the projectors for looks

 

As I said go to www.performanceproducts.com. or try your local Mercedes Benz jumk yard. Join the MBCA as I have, their magazine is a great source for parts new and used. I not crazy about projections either by the way. But that is a matter of taste. As I said the Silver Stars are great, aiming the lights correctly is also part of the trick of seein well at night.

 

Did your hid lights flicker once you installed hid system. And if how did you fix it??? Please let me know...
