My car when first started in the morning will not shift into 2nd gear easily. I usually have to really tramp on the pedal and give it some gas before it will shift in. After that, it seems to shift fine the rest of the day. I recently purchased the car and is my first MB. I didn't test drive the car first thing in the morning, so of course I'm just noticing it now....any help would be much appreciated. Thanks

 

Don't worry!

MB designed the transmission to delay shifting from lower gears when the vehicle is cold to help get the catalytic converter up to temperature. If you have no problems when it's warm, you are AOK.
