Default 1999 Mirror Question

Hello everyone,

I just bought my first MB two days ago, and i got a pretty good deal on it, its a 1999 c280, and i was just wondering why it was so hard to find replacement mirror glass for the LH (driver side) mirror. its not even completely shattered, just looks distorted and scratchy.

i really want to replace it, and the electrical movement still works fine. I found replacement mirror glass on this site : www.automirrorglassonly.com , but i dont know what to think about how well it will match the mirror on the RH side (which has blue tint). Does anyone have any other good options for this replacement glass? i just cant understand why the RH side replacement glass is $50 while the only LH mirrors i can find that seem to be legitimate are $180+

anyway, im looking forward to being a part of this forum,

Thanks in advance,

Cody

the reason the mirror is so expensive is because it is polarized, just like the rearview mirror......i have the same problem with my slk....
