Default 1997 C280 How did this happen?

I have a 1997 C280, and I brand new to this forum. I wish that I would have known about this years ago.

Anyway, I had my radiator replaced about a year and half ago, and a "T" part replaced a few months ago. Since then the car has not run well and had trouble going into gear properly. It had a little a slippage so we took it to the dealer.

Turns out the transmission was destroyed, the torque converter destroyed, the radiator destroyed and the Electronic Control Module destroyed. All is all, it spent a month at the dealership and it cost $6800 to repair.

The dealer says that this happened due to the lines mixing and coolant leaked into the transmission, thus causing all of the damage. When I researched this more, I am told that this either has to be dealer negligence or a serious engineering flaw.

Has anyone had this happen? Or know how it could have happened? Thanks.
