I would suggest if you have worm gear hose clamps that are stamped with raised bumps rather than cut through the metal band that you replaced them. I had one pop open a few weeks back and of course caused me to overheat somewhat, not quite to red on my gauge. After I fixed it I noticed that my temperature gauge was running 5 to 10 degreescentigrade hotter than before and my car was running rough for a few seconds on a cold start. As it turned out, the overheating ruined both my temperature gauge and CIS-E coolant temperature sensors.
