I am unable to close the trunk of the car. I have pressed the release key **** on the Trunk, used the remote button inside the car and everything operates normally but the Trunk would not latch or close.

Right now, I have disconnected the battery so it does not run down with the lid left open. I can use the key to see if the lock mechanism work or not but it does not help.

I have experienced this once but pressing the lock button on the dash helped to fix the problem. This time, nothing is helping.
