RE: 1995 280
I have a 1994. Since I purchased it in 2000 with 55K miles, I've had to replace: Radiator, Thermostat, Tie-Rod assembly, rotors, brake pads, radiator, A/C compressor, serpentine belt, and tensioner, pulley, Air Mass unit, Air Intake Housing, plug wires, plugs, tires, and a few other little things here and there i.e. Bose amplifier. Now, I'm having to replace the headliner. I currently have 170K on it and still roars when I step down....let me know if you have any questions about this model....most of the things I've done myself.

I notice you have done much to your '94 and have replaced the Bose amplifier. I have a '94 C280, and just today lost sound on my stereo. The radio turns on (the face display shows the usual information), the automatic antennae extends when the radio is on, the CD player operates when I push the CD button, but no sound at all. I thought of two areas to look - the amp or the antennae connection. Does my problem sound like any situation you have encountered? Thanks.

Hi Jonathan
I bought a 94' c280 for my wife about 2 years ago now ,we really like the car ,but it has one on going problem .The (AM only)reception on the portion of the radio was very poor the channels didn't come in well or not at all ,as a resultI had the radio changed.I first put a Sony unit with a new Alpine amp in the trunk with no help ,same problem occured. I then change the antenna mast in the rear of the car no help again. I changed the radio again this time to an Alpine unit to match the amp in the trunk, again no help.My wife is avid AM talk showfan ,please help ( does anyone have any idea what causes this problem? )
