Default 05' C320 lifesaver

Well, I doomed this day... G/F took the C230 the other day to go shopping and that was the last of it (not our relationship....the car). She went to pull out across the #1 highway from our home outside Calgary and was T-boned on the driver side by a car travelling between 100 and 120km/h (60-75mph). It launched my car causing it to roll several times before stopping vertically on its drivers side. My GF walked away from the accident with no serious injuries. I knew the car had a 5* side impact rating when I bought it, but this really put the car to the test, being that the impact on my car was about double the impact speed they use to test and rate the car. I have a couple pics I will upload once I find the cam-computer cord to get them onto my computer. You will be shocked as to how intact the car remained considering the circumstances. I hope this all gives you a little peace of mind when driving your C, or when having loved ones borrow it...

Wow thats amazing!! I just bought my first MB, (a 2002 C240) and I never realizwed how unsafe my previous car was! It would slide uncontrollably on roads that were just WET even though the tires were new. In snow it turned into a hockey puck, and it was front wheel drive!! Last Thanksgiving we took out a lady's mailbox on an icy road, narrowly missing a telephone pole. The C230 feels so much more solid, and has more safety features than any car I have ever had. Seeeing a situation like yours definately raises my confidence in the car!!!
