05 C230 Kompressor fuel filter
I have done this job twice since I owned my '05 C230K. Jack the back end of the car up pretty high (put the jack under the rear end housing) and look up under the car kinda on the driver's side and you will see where the fuel lines go into and out of it. There's a black plastic "strap" that holds it secure to the car. It's a round silver canister not too big. There really aren't any tricks to the job except to put a pan under the thing to catch a bit of fuel that comes out.....don't worry....it's not that much but I suggest doing the job when the tank isn't very full anyway. Get some hose clamps before you start the job that fit that size hose (the smaller ones) and just get rid of the clamps that come on the thing from the factory.
Much easier next time. Just remember which hoses go on which side (it's pretty obvious) and swap the old filter for the new one after taking the old filter out of the "clamp". Oh, and don't pay a lot for a new filter. You can find them pretty cheap online. You can also do a search here. I think I have photos if you want to see them. Might be in my "gallery".
