The shop where the car is said the car needs 4 left rear control arms. etc and trying to charge me 3k+ whats that like 1800 in just labor just tochange control arms LMFAO . My g/f hit her moms car parking and backed up over a curb breaking somehting on the left rear suspension. Insurance will not cover the damage . long story but to cut it short its coming out of mine and her pockets...

Mercedes suspensions are designed and made like no others, and are very durable. I would get a second opinion first, as you say they are very expensive to replace. The "accident" you describe doesn't sound like it would have broken control arms, they are rugged and should last a lifetime, as Mercedes has no replacement schedule for them,just checks on the bushing. That being said, she must have been going very fast to break control arms especially 4 or them. Sounds "fishy" to me. This is a 05 model also? When you say shop is it at the dealers or "Joe's fly by night auto repair"
