Question R350 No Start, No power to engine fuse box?

Hi ,

I could do with some help advice. I have a 2006 R350 . I had a blow out changed the tyre - started and moved the car a short distance, stopped to check a noise then no start. The dash lights, windows , radio etc all good ... battery fine. Had car towed 5 days ago and today I was told engine fuse box was burnt out. I went to garage as I had checked all the fuses in the engine box and had not seen any problems no smell , black spots. When I got there and asked to see/ look guy was cranky- kept saying listen "Lady" its burnt out- I insisted on seeing it. It looked the same as before but he said there was no power to engine fuse box and it needs to be replaced at like$750. I sent my hubby to have a look but they refused to let him look or give the key they said they were too busy. Does this sound right- is there some other main fuse/relay between battery and engine fuse box- ofr something that could be the problem. I appreciate any ideas suggestions . thanks in advance

Hello and welcome to the forum! I would definitely get a second opinion - the fact that they won't let you inspect your own car sends automatic red flags to me...just my 2 cents.
