Default C240 power rear window shade and fuse box

hi guys, new to this forum and i read through alot of it and it looks great. hope i can be of help in the future but i just bought my car (2002 C240 6spd....love it). two issues to start with:

1- the power rear window shade does not work. when i engage the switch, i hear a soft click from back there, but nothing happens. i cant find the fuse which brings me to

2- where the f is the fuse box? the manual says inside the drivers door on the side of the dash, but all that is there is a panel with no way to remove it; it looks just like the other (passenger) side. i tried to take it off but i was afraid to damage it; it wont come off. i spent an hour searching the car.. i found the one in the engine compartment and in the trunk, but they are small and have no reference sheets?

maybe someone has had an easy fix or knows of a common fix for the window shade, and where my fuse box is? thanks!!!!

The one on the driver side should have the reference sheet. The leading edge towrds you should release with enough pressure.

thanks.. but how do you open it then? the manual shows a little indentation to grab onto; this one is flush. i have spent alot of time trying to rip it off of there, and am really afraid of damaging the car. i am not going to start prying it with a screwdriver! any help is appreciated; there must be a technique if this really is the fuse box.

getajet: put a flat-bladed screwdriver in between the side panel and the dash; move the panel towards the door about two inches to clear the snap in retainers; then pull the side panel straight back. It sounds harder than it is & once you get the panel off, you will see...

FYI After looking at the fuses for the Sun screen from the diagram I got from the dealership and the the fuses were good, I decided to pull all fuses found one bad #12 replaced it. sun screen and rear A/C outlet works fine.
