Need some help.....
I bought a 2007 ML350 from a wrecker service without a key. I then purchased a storm damaged 2008 ML350 with a key that started, ran, and drove. I took the ECU and key switch and put them in the 07 and it fired right up. But it wouldn't go into gear. So I did initialization of the TCU and now it won't start with the key anymore. How do I get the original coding data back to where I can start the car again?

ECM ( Engine control module) are linked to the original vehicle. Vin coded to that vehicle.You will need to flash ECM. They are not linked together at this point. ECM is looking for the specific units from the donor vehicle.
Any otherproblems with the 07 ML350? You could just gotten the Dealer to make you a key from the beginning.

Mercedes b class 180d(1.5)w246 The engine light came on, it shows a lamda probe error, and I have a bill that it was changed by the previous owner in 2 months 2023... they canceled the error but the light came on again and they said let's put a new lamda again... and after 200,300 km the light came on again... on the dash (supposedly original) shows that the level of "gases" read by the lamda must be between 14 and 21% and apparently at some point it loads or too much ... mostly the master doesn't know the solution ... like maybe a software update ... or a software shutdown of that sensor .The car runs normally Does anyone know what and how?
