Default Key will not turn in ignition for 2002 Mercedes SLK

So the other day I unlocked the car remotely and put key in ignition but it does not turn to allow the steering lock to be freed. I locked and unlocked the car and eventually the key turned very easily. It’s like the key is not transmitting to the steering lock but I was told it’s not that type of key?

second key won’t even open doors. I think the battery is flat in that one.
can anyone help please?

Default Key fob 2004 Mercedes c320 key will not turn in ignition

Car is running fine all of a sudden one night the car wouldn't start I thought maybe a fuse went bad looked at all the fuses couldn't find anything wrong took the battery out and had it charged thought maybe it wouldn't have enough charge to kick it over sat for 2 months and one night was searched on YouTube I saw a video where the guy took a piece of paper and put it between the PC board inside the key fob and against the fob housing itself and tried to do it myself the same thing and it worked amazingly two days later it would not start again I attempted to move the piece of paper around all over the place thought maybe I didn't do it right you know and then in the paper had settled but that didn't work so taking it apart again one more time and take an actual board out I could see that one of the sensors was lifted off of the PC board so the solder came was weak enough to where it came loose I don't know if that was from pulling it in and out but nonetheless I soldered it back together and it's been working good and I dropped the key several times so far by accident and it's still working so hopefully this will help you guys out there cuz I was going nuts for 2 months to configure it out but thanks to that one guys video I appreciate that so I thought I better do the same and let you guys know what worked for me with the paper doesn't work try looking at the sensors see if they make sure they're soldered good sorry my English is not very good hopefully this helps somebody out there.
