I have a 2012 ML350. Just recently the drivers memory setting disengages once the engine is turned off and the drivers door is opened and/or another car door is opened. The seat back moves forward all the way and none of the memory settings will work; you have to wait 30 seconds before the memory setting will work. The seat back control will not work manually as well.
