I purchased a2007 S550 from DCH toyota of Oxnard . The car drove well for four months and one day I was leaving work and the car would not start and the ESP and ABS lights were on . I had the car towed to a mechanic who gave me ten million reasons why the car would not start and wanted to charge me parts and labor until he found the problem . Any help is greatly appreciated . I also purchased a star diagnostic tool but still can not find a fault code.

 

Hello and welcome to the forum! That was going to be my suggestion before spending any money on parts - pull the codes. If those 2 lights came on, there should definitely be a fault code or at least some stored codes that should give you an idea as to where an issue is coming from. Apparently this is common with the S550, just google "abs and esp light on mercedes s550" and you'll see a lot of results. Please let us know if you have any other questions.
