Default Airbag issue - Front driver seat

Hi,

Wondering if anyone has come across the below?

I get an airbag malfunction warning for the front driver seat. The airbag error light only comes on when I insert the driver's seatbelt..... Thinking this is a seat buckle issue, I tested this with other seat seatbelts and never got an error....just when I use the driver seat belt.... Now when I use the driver seat belt in any other seat buckle I get no errors.

Any idea what could be causing this?

Regards,

Bhups

To clarify: The buckle for the driver seat is the only one that gives an error message, right? either A) Your buckle has an issue, B) Connection issue between the buckle and the SRS (supplemental restraint system), or C) Your airbag has an issue.
I wouldn't recommend trying to diagnose this. Airbags are finnicky and unless you know the proper procedure/process for uninstalling them, it could be dangerous. Don't want an an airbag blowing up in your face. Safer and less stressful if you bring it either to a dealer or a European specialty shop.

Hi DFergusonMB

Correct only the front driver buckle gives the issue. Looks like its a A or B...but strange how the same buckle has no issue with any other seatbelt.... doesn't make sense
