Smile B200 No Block Heater

I am in Moose Jaw, Saskatchewan: My 2006 B-200 has no engine-block heater and my local mechanic as well as the Regina Dealership advised against installing one. The good news is the car started regularly in -30C(wind-chill around -40/45C parked in the open). Each time it took three attempts before it stayed running around 1500RPM, after about ten minutes the revs decreased to nearly normal. However, the display screen and the radio screen were both dark until the car warmed up!. All said and done, it is satisfactory. The seats did heat up fast!
