Need some help. If I shut the driver's door too hard, the mirror glass pops off the mounting. Fortunately, the heater wires keep it from falling and I have been able to re-attach it. I can feel your smirks - so don't slam the door. I know, I know. Just wondering if anyone has replaced a driver's mirror and if there are any clips, fasteners, etc. I might be missing.

yes there is a clip behind the mirror glass its very tricky clip i would suggest you to take to nearest MB dealer........

I appreciate the info. Something simple, like a clip missing, might end up costing a lot of $$ if the mirror breaks.

The dealer ended up fixing the problem by replacing the mirror motor assembly (entirely new mirror) under warranty. Only problem now is that the driver's mirror doesn't match the passenger mirror - maybe that's the way it's supposed to be? Thanks for the advice.
