i didnt actually pull out an injector, but i unscrewed a metal tube from under the air filter housing to see if any fuel is coming out of there and it is. i tried 3 tubes on different occasions and fuel comes out of all. is this test ok?

yeah, that's fine.

have you check the sparkplugs if it's wet with gasoline?

the saga continues, spark plugs all good, injectors squirting sufficiently (checked 2 of them).
Beleive me this car was running smoother than my 1 year old volvo.
Im thinking of ringing our local priest, maybe someone has put a spell on my beast.
Should i take it to my mechanic, would it be a guessing game for him too or can he test it with machinery?

whoah. that's tough now.

fuel system okay, ignition is okay, but the car cannot start.

there must be something that we are missing.

getting a mechanic to have a look on it is the only thing to do now.

so far, you have done the basic checks that you are suppose to do... and feeling tired on it.

Finally got the beast started. Sleepwaker you were probably right, again.
Heres what must have happened. After the wash and a cold dewy night, moisture must have got in somewhere. After i checked and cleaned the plugs, i kept on cranking the motor so they must have got flooded again before the moisture had dried up. Anyway my mechanic came to my home with a contraption that acts like a powerful coil. He cleaned the plugs again, he connected this "coil" to each of the spark plugs and "zapped" them. We removed the fuel pump relay and started cranking over again, occasionally spraying carbie cleaner down the throttle, and then off it went, plenty of unburned fuel coming out of the back, lucky the neighbours were away at the time. Took it for a half hour drive and i hope it will be okay in the morning.
Thanking you for your help along the way.
