Window not going up all the way

Window not going up all the way
I have a 01 CLK 430 convertable, when putting up the drivers side window it goes up all the way when I release the button it goes back down about two inches. I cant figure out why it wont stay up all the way, can anyone tell me why and how to fix this please?

try holding down the window switch until you hear a click that means the window has been renormalized
if that doesnt work then the motor or the door module is bad
or there is an obstruction in the window track
if that doesnt work then the motor or the door module is bad
or there is an obstruction in the window track
