Hello!

My cousin bought a W168 A190 (VIN WDB1680322J485744) and the starter cranks but the engine wont start.

I checked there is spark from the spark plug and there is fuel coming out from the injector. This is very weird, there is fuel and spark. The intake is not clogged.

What i did :
1/ Replaced ignition coil, sparkplug.
2/ Cleaned all connectors including ECM side.
3/ Changed fuel filter(regulator)
4/ Scanned with MB star but no fault.
5/ Compression tested

Is there a known issue for this car ?

 

yes very common,,have u checked the fuel pressure with the fuel pressure gauage and make the fuel filter is genuine MB...fuel filter has to be MB due to integrated regultor inside the filter....
