1986 560sl driving then stalls like I ran out of gas. (Tank is Full). Starts back up drives for a bit, then again, stalls like I ran out of gas. And so on. New fuel filters, accumulator and gas filter installed. Where do I start diagnostics?

Of the subject for a moment the fuel filters are a bit loud is this normal?

 

Hello and welcome to the forum! It sounds like you have a vacuum leak somewhere. Have you checked the idle air control valve too?

 

Could possibly be the fuel pump. When it stalls like its out of gas, pop the hood and press the pressure relief valve on the fuel rail and it should squirt out and if it doesn't its probably gonna make it fuel pump/pressure related.....and are the fuel filters loud or did you mean like the fuel pump or something?
