SL500 starting problem

SL500 starting problem
My 92 SL500 starts perfectly when cold but is an absolute nightmare when warm. Attempts to start it result in backfiring and when it does eventually catch it coughs and splutters terribly and cuts out at every opportunity. Has anyone got any idea what the problem could be?</P>
