Signal activation module - were is it?

SAM (Signal pickup-and Activation Module)

My 02 CLK 320 has a fault.
Active fault
01 > B1217-003 Rain sensor (B38) excess temperature

I was wondering if anyone knows were that is located on the car.

thats a code that is there on almost every car. dont worry about it. its on the glass in front of the rear view mirror.
